Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know if therapy is right for me?

You don’t need to be in crisis to benefit from therapy. Many people seek support to better understand themselves, improve their relationships, manage anxiety or stress, process difficult experiences, or navigate life transitions. If you’re wondering whether therapy could help, that in itself is often a good place to start.

What can I expect during the first session?

The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another. We’ll explore what has brought you to therapy, discuss your hopes and expectations, and consider how we can work together. There is no pressure to share everything at once—we move at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

How long does therapy last?

There is no fixed number of sessions. Some people find that a few sessions are enough to address a specific concern, while others choose to engage in longer-term therapy. Together, we will regularly review your progress and ensure that therapy continues to meet your needs.

Is everything we discuss confidential?

Yes. Confidentiality is a fundamental part of therapy and helps create a safe environment for open conversation. The only exceptions are those required by professional and legal responsibilities, which will be explained during our first meeting.

Do you offer online sessions?

Yes. Therapy is available both in person at my practice in Kappara and online, allowing you to choose the option that best suits your needs and circumstances.
